In creating and finishing book bindings, there are no limits to the imagination. Any size, material and shape can be chosen for the book and designed together with my customer.
Here, the bookmaking materials range from high-quality goat, cow, calf, pig or ostrich leather and various fabrics, exotic woods, different metals and ironwork, to top-quality stationery, paperboard and hand-crafted deckle-edged paper. Gold, silver or blind embossing, (gold) prints, ornaments and innumerable methods of finishing surfaces turn every book into a unique work of art.
Of course, it’s also possible to repair or replace damaged covers using appropriate technical and traditional techniques. You can read about this process under Restoration & Repair.
