After 14 years of experience in a printing shop
I turned my vision of high-quality, customised bookmaking into my profession and opened my own studio in Waidhofen/Ybbs, Lower Austria, in 1993.
-
My most important instructors
during this time were the very first technical books about bookbinding, dating from the 18th century.
-
As well as the way to deploy resources effectively, they also taught me
what it means to pursue a vocation with one’s body and soul.
-
-
-
...and the highest production quality
helped me to soon become known at international book and handicraft trade fairs.
-
In their style and finishing touches, these books perfectly reflect
the character of the company, the customer or the presentee.
-
My knowledge and enthusiasm
I give more love to. Since 1999 I teach regularly at the vocational school Linz, hold master classes and courses in the field of occupational therapy for the Regional Psychiatric Hospital Wagner Jauregg.
-
in designing high-quality artistic bindings and books that are created especially to harmonise with a particular place, by means of precise, patient hand work,.
-
In this way, I and my partner create unique pieces
which harmonise perfectly with their surroundings anywhere in the world.
“
When the heart isn’t involved, the head may still be able to invent and the hand to shape something, yet nothing of real value will result because such an endeavour isn’t aimed at the right purpose. For arrogance, voluptuousness and closefistedness will also play a part.”
